Intended audience: This training is aimed at the new transfer evaluator, the experienced evaluator who is new to uAchieve, or anyone who wants to learn more about the transfer articulation functionality in Self-Service.

Certification opportunities

CollegeSource offers a certification program as a professional development opportunity to our degree audit encoding community. Currently, there are two uAchieve certifications available—the uAchieve Degree Audit Encoder Certification and the uAchieve Transfer Articulation Encoder Certification.

This self-paced training does not apply toward certification. However, we regularly offer instructor-led basic encoding workshops that apply toward certification requirements. To learn more about becoming certified, please visit our website.

About the support staff

This self-paced course includes assistance throughout its duration from CollegeSource staff.

Kristen Patrick is a Senior Implementation Specialist who worked in higher education for over ten years before joining CollegeSource. Starting as a student employee in the Degree Requirements office, Kristen progressively took on additional duties within Enrollment Management over two institutions and a state system office, from admission evaluation, transfer articulation, and degree planning to uAchieve encoding. She has also used TES, Transferology, uAchieve and DARS, and the Planner as a client. Kristen’s vast experience on campus gives her a unique perspective on encoding-related issues. Having worked in institutions with high transfer populations and complex curriculums, the issue of uAchieve encoding and transfer articulation is central to Kristen’s experience.

Is there a group discount?

Yes. If you register 3 or more staff from your institution, you will each receive $50 off your registration. Please note this discount is automatic. In order to receive the discount, you must add the additional staff on as group members to a single registration during online registration.

Will I receive a copy of a training manual?

We do not provide a printed copy of the training guide for self-paced training, but you can access Best Practice guides for all of our uAchieve workshops for reference or for download from the CollegeSource Support Center. The Best Practice guides contain all the same information in the training except for the exercises. A link to this guide will be provided when the course opens.

How is the training provided?

The training lessons are provided through the CollegeSource Support Center and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the duration of the training period. It is a self-paced course that you can drop in and out of as you have time to work throughout the month.

What will I need for this course?

You will need a computer with internet, email access, and your training database credentials which will be provided to you via email prior to the course.
